About Prof. Dr. Fevzi Şentürk
Prof. Dr. Fevzi Şentürk completed his medical education at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine and his ophthalmology specialty training at Eskişehir Osmangazi University Faculty of Medicine. He completed his retina fellowship at the Istanbul Retina Institute, where he also earned the title of Associate Professor. He currently continues his academic work as a Professor at Istanbul Medipol University.
His scientific and clinical work focuses on retinal diseases, vitreoretinal surgery and cataract surgery. He has over a hundred publications and papers in respected national and international journals, and has authored or translated seven books and book chapters. He is an active member of the Turkish Ophthalmological Association's Medical Retina, Surgical Retina and Electrodiagnostics units.
His clinical interests cover cataract surgery and smart lens applications, retinal diseases (macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment), intravitreal injection treatments, glaucoma monitoring and laser treatments.
He continues his work at his clinic in Istanbul.
